We are always thrilled when new projects that we have worked on are released! From action packed fight scenes, to surviving kindergarten, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Here is a list of all our fall 2024 releases.
We recently celebrated Boom Box Post’s 10th birthday! We could not be more grateful for the opportunity to flourish in this community, and we hope Boom Box Post’s 11th year is filled with even more opportunities to shine.
This year, I was invited to be on Impact24’s 5th Annual “Hollywood Game Changers: A Conversation with the Women Behind Popular Film and TV Projects” panel at San Diego Comic Con. I was humbled to be joined by other amazing women from across the entertainment industry, such as Ashleigh Hairston, EP/Voice Actor on Nickelodeon’s The Fairly Odd Parents: A New Wish; Joy Ngiaw, composer for WondLa, Skydance’s epic new animated series; KC Cavarozzi, Co-Founder of On Camera Audiences, and more.

Boom Box Post has been busy this year successfully completing various sound projects including shows, shorts, features, and commercials. Boom Box Post owner, Jeff Shiffman, was invited to be on the Fan Favorites panel at San Diego Comic Con to give insight on his work in Transformers: EarthSpark. Jeff and five other creative minds behind some of the biggest TV and movie projects reveal how they bring fan-favorite stories to life.
Post Perspective recently wrote an article featuring an interview with one of Boom Box Post’s owners, Kate Finan. Kate is a re-recording mixer, supervising sound editor, and co-founder of Boom Box Post, a boutique animation-specific sound studio located in Burbank, CA. Post Perspective chatted with Kate about Gabby’s Dollhouse and the specific steps relating to the audio post process.
Tonebenders, a podcast featuring a collective of sound design professionals sharing their thoughts, ideas, and stories, recently released a podcast featuring an interview with our two owners, Jeff Shiffman and Kate Finan. Tonebenders chatted with Jeff and Kate about their experience of transforming a former auto body shop into a brand new multi-room audio post facility.
No Film School recently released an article featuring an interview with our two owners, Jeff Shiffman and Kate Finan. No Film School chatted with Kate and Jeff about the goals within Boom Box Post. This includes hiring men, women, and non-binary at a 50/50 level, education within the studio, and their paid apprenticeship program which contains weekly lessons and real-world feedback from members of the staff. Jeff and Kate also chat about their experience building their own sound studio from a former auto shop.
Animation World Network recently wrote an article and interviewed Kate Finan, re-recording mixer, supervising sound editor, and co-founder with Jeff Shiffman of Boom Box Post, a boutique animation-specific sound studio located in Burbank, CA. They chat about sexism within the industry and their way on how to create an enviorment that strives for 50 percent women and gender non-conforming as well as 50 percent male. This was a founding goal of Boom Box that Finan and Shiffman reached within the first couple years.
Focusrite recently wrote an article about Boom Box Post and our integration of the Focusrite Red and Red Net system in our studio. The Focusrite Red Net system is the backbone of our mix facility, allowing us to transition from Dolby Atmos to 5.1 surround and stereo, all within the controller.

With only a week left in June, we crossover the halfway point of 2021 and enter the second half of the year. So far in 2021 we have worked on a handful of amazing new projects, all of which we are extremely proud of and excited to share with you.
